Positive: Staff is exceptionally friendly and courteous. The hotel is dog-friendly.

Negative: The beds are too hard and we tend to like firm beds. There were questionable brown and white stains on the couch and the bathroom door, and lightswitch. Their was long blonde or silver hairs caught in the cabinet front in the bathroom that were protruding and hanging down loosely in front of the sink. The bathroom door would not close and there was no fan in the bathroom. There was no hand towel rod so face towels had to sit on the sink counter. The operable window had no screens so mosquitoes got in even though we were on the 9th floor. The soundproofing was poor so neighbors and planes were louder than expected. The electricity went out one evening which was not their fault, but because the hotel was at the edge of the outage, we could not determine if there was an emergency or not because no one bothered to announce the situation on the PA so that was stressful, creating a situation where my husband felt compelled to walk up and down 8 flights of stairs to determine if there was an emergency or not. When he did, none of the staff in the lobby had any clue as to what was happening which was alarming. Free breakfast was included, but not free if delivered to your room which was not made clear until it was delivered. It tasted good and fresh the first morning, but on the second morning, the eggs were rubbery and the bacon was not crisp (an option they provide on the menu). These breakfasts do not taste like they are cooked in house even though they may be. I would have been happy to pay for the room service charge and tip, but the breakfast should have still been free if "breakfast included" for the quality provided.

Summary: Uncomfortable and dirty room accommodation created lack of value.
